What is good governance? What structures, functions, systems, work best for social benefit organisations? Why does good governance matter, and what can it do for your organisation?

In Part I of this workshop (18:30 – 20:00), our speakers will draw on a variety of social benefit organisations, for profit and not-for-profit, to demonstrate how good governance practices can help ensure you are able to achieve your organisational goals. They will show how governance structures and systems can help your organisation be responsive to change, effectively managed, transparent and accountable to stakeholders, so as to achieve the best outcomes and most sustainable and long term impacts for your organisation.

In the Part II (20:00 – 21:30) we will apply lessons learned in Part I to your organisations. We will apply a “Good Governance Reality Check” using the Codethic matrix and determine the health of your governance systems and how they might be improved.
