Neelam Chibber, co-Founder and managing Trustee of Industree Foundation shared her experience and learnings in building successful enterprises with a positive impact on the empowerment of women and their communities.
Industree was established in 2000 to holistically tackle rural poverty tripling non-farm incomes. It has created an ownership-based manufacturing ecosystem for Indian female micro- entrepreneurs. Combined with the strong involvement of Industree’s founder and team, Industree has managed to developed consistent markets for the producer companies with Mother Earth in India and globally to IKEA, Habitat and Carrefour. It has helped 30,000 women artisans in India and Africa break the cycle of poverty.
